DIY | Writing on Stuff with a Whiteboard Marker

I had a party recently and didn't have any ashtrays myself, so instead I used plates. I wrote on then in whiteboard marker to let people know to use them...rather than the flowerpots! I can't believe I hadn't thought of this before, it works really well and rubs off easily afterwards. 

You could also do this for glasses at a party where people will be likely to lose them. Write on the bottom to prevent people rubbing them off with their hands, but you'll have to write backwards because when turned right way up the words will be reversed - symbols or a single letter are easier.
